Kanchenjunga South Base Camp Trek – exploring the New & Shorter Trail
Exploring the new trail to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp The Covid-19 pandemic lockdown was a disaster for travelers. We were locked up in our homes for months. We could not go out to places like normal times and traveling was out of the question. So as soon as things started getting back to normal and the lockdown was lifted, we, a group of three friends, prepared ourselves to trek after the Tihar of 2078 B.S. (2021 A.D.). This led us to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp in the far east corner of Nepal. Even though Province 1 has a lot of mountains and trekking destinations, the major issue was the trekking…

All your most pressing trekking questions answered!
We have attempted to answer all your most pressing trekking questions in this blog post as we get tons of queries everyday from Ghumante of all level. We have also included some other questions which you didn’t ask but we felt should be answered. What should I wear? What kind of clothes I need for trekking? Journey to Poon Hill, Nepal
Travel is my passion; I love adventure and the mountains. On this winter vacation, I chose the Poon Hill Trek. The Himalayas fill Nepal, and Poon Hill Trek is among the most popular trails in Nepal. At 3,210 meters, Poon Hill is the highest point of the trek, which offers excellent views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain Ranges. It was a dream come true for me to finally view these mountains at such a close distance. This trip is an excellent option if you are looking to start trekking around Nepal, and if you are short on time, as it can be easily completed in four or five days. Since this…

Backpacker’s Valentine
May you never be too busy to go to Mountains…. The Heart beats and the Mind wanders. My soul craves to roam somewhere else leaving my physical body. Longing for adventures to come. Thrills of joy .Somewhere far away, pathless woods awaiting. This kills me. Maybe its time for me to leave, to go away from everything, the crowd, noise, attachments, just everything that’s around. Bored, restless; I can’t breathe here anymore. Screaming Echoes in my head . Dead, I feel inside. Numb, nothing left. Stuck, drained. Storm in my calm mind, fire in my burning soul and a mess in my eyes. Always dreamed of living. Frustrated, baffled. Running, awaiting storm, dwelling…

Visit to Sauraha
It was a cold morning in the month of Mangsir when we started our journey from Kathmandu to Sauraha. We took a tourist bus to get there and reached to our hotel in late afternoon. The weather over there was cool and welcoming. The trip has been exciting to us. For me, it was the first time I have ever been to terai and the topographical distribution left me enthralled. And for my husband, because of his photography passion, it has been an opportunity to capture the exotic beauty of Sauraha again. After having lunch, we got to meet our tour guide. He gave a brief introduction about…
