Nepal Railway in Janakpur!
The only railway of Nepal, Nepal railway was previously known as Janakpur Railway. It operates a total of 52km, from Jainagar to Bhangaha. When we were in Janakpur, the train service wasn't in operation yet although all the infrastructures, train and technicians were ready due to diplomatic issues. It is currently in operation.

The southern plains of Nepal extend from east all the way to west, and railways could potentially be the best mode of transportation for the country. Why do you think there's only a single 52km railway in Operation in Nepal? These tracks and the infrastructures were also built with the funding of the government of India.

Monsoon Destination Series Ep V - Timbung Pokhari!
Locals in the past, would often hear sounds of gunshots coming from the waters of this lake. Hence, the lake got its name Timbung which in Limbu language means "firing of a gun". Timbung Pokhari is one among dozens of other lakes in the area which are more than a dozen. The area spreads around a vast territory with high pastures and offers amazing view of the Kanchanjunga Ranges and several eastern Himalayan Ranges on a clear day. With its abundant rivers, lakes, pastures and wildflowers, Timbung Pokhari is one of the best locations to explore during this rainy season.

It's a surprise foe us that Tilicho Lake made this list. Once considered the "highest lake in the world", Tilicho is quite popular to travelers, both domestic and international. Dhanushadham!
When the swayamvara of Devi Sita, the condition was the right candidate should be able to lift Lord Parshuram's Shiva Dhanush Pinaka and string it. Lord Ram took part in the ceremony and while trying to string the bow, broke it into three pieces. Of the three pieces, one went to Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu, the other one in Dhanush Sagar Kunda in Janakpur and the middle one lies here in Dhanush Mandir. The concrete+rock like figures are said to be the parts of the bow. Surprisingly, these are growing in shape and area. That's the reason why the temple isn't completely walled.

Khyali In the HOUSE!
Finally, the team of Khyali Naach enters the home of Balman Mama. They greet the host with songs and dances, the host welcomes them with Tika and Achhyata. Everybody from the village is here, to witness the beautiful performance of the Khyali Naach Team.

Original Khyali Naach during the Pupuro Festival runs for an entire day and night for one family. We were shown only a small section of it. According to the number of new born eldest sons in the village each year, this could go on for weeks, even months. In case, there's no birth of an eldest son in the entire village, the Khyali Team pays a visit to the Village Head's house to perform this ritual.

Bye Bye Gurjakhani!
It was now time to leave Gurjakhani. The locals gathered to bid us goodbye. Balman Mama was in tears at this moment which had us feel a bit emotional too. Anyways, we had to leave but it was a sweet goodbye, with all the beautiful memories and a promise to return. The day was beautiful and sunny, Gurja Himal shone brightly as we looked back one last time at the village.
